Rhonda M. Fletcher, Rashannon B. Fletcher, Rashayla P. Fletcher and Ryler E. Fletcher

Rhonda M. Fletcher, 33, of rural Sumner, IL passed away January 12, 2010 at her residence.  Born November 13, 1976 in Olney, IL she was the daughter of Carl and Karla (Smith) Littlejohn of Sumner, IL.  She was married to Rick Fletcher.

Rhonda was a homemaker and worked cleaning houses.  She attended Island Free Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.

Survivors include her parents, Carl and Karla Littlejohn of Chauncey; husband Rick Fletcher; six daughters Rashonda, Ralonda, Rashaina, Rhona, Rylin and Rylee all at home; two brothers Ken Littlejohn Naperville, IL; Lee and Paula Littlejohn of Chauncey; one sister Mary Webster of Chauncey; and maternal grandmother Cleo Smith of Olney.

Rashannon Brittany Fletcher, age 8, of rural Sumner, IL passed away at home January 12, 2010.  She was born September 18, 2001 in Olney, IL the daughter of Rick and Rhonda Fletcher.

Rashannon was a student at Bridgeport Grade School and a member of 4-H.  She attended Island Free Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother; one sister; one brother; and a paternal grandfather.

Rashayla Paige Fletcher, age 5, passed away January 12, 2010 at home.  She was born July 28, 2004 in Olney, IL to Rick and Rhonda Fletcher of rural Sumner. 

Rashayla was in kindergarten and attended Petty School.  She attended Island Free Methodist Church and was a member of 4-H.

 She was preceded in death by her mother; one sister; one brother; and her paternal grandfather.

Ryler Eugene Blain Fletcher, 6 months old, passed away January 12, 2010 at home.  He was born June 25, 2009 in Olney, IL the son of Rick and Rhonda (Littlejohn) Fletcher of rural Sumner, IL.

He attended Island Free Methodist Church.

Ryler was preceded in death by his mother; two sisters; and paternal grandfather.

Survivors of Rashannon, Rashayla and Ryler include their father Rick Fletcher; six sisters Rashonda Chelse, Ralonda Sabrina, Rashaina Brianna, Rhona Shayla, Rylin Heather and Rylee Ann; maternal grandparents Carl and Karla Littlejohn of rural Sumner; paternal grandmother Kathy Fletcher of Bridgeport; maternal great-grandmother Cleo Smith of Olney and paternal great-grandmother Marie Fletcher of Bridgeport.

Funeral services for Rhonda, Rashannon, Rashayla and Ryler Fletcher will be 11:00 am Saturday at the 4-H Center, Hwy 50, east of Sumner. 

 Burial will follow in Waggoner Cemetery, north of Chauncey.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the 4-H Center.

  6. I knew the family well and my sister was close to Rhonda and the children. My heart and prayers goes out to the family. And as we were told to remember Rhonda passed away a hero. She saved as many of her children as se could.

  9. I want to say thank you to all those who have Rhonda and her family in your thoughts and Prayers. She was indeed a hero. As the Pastor stated, she was promoted.

  10. God Bless each and everyone of you. This breaks my heart to hear this sad news. Thank God the community cares enough to help these kids in a difficult time. I didn’t know the Fletcher family, but obviously they were really great people.
